Ályth is also about to take part in a new project called Dán managed by the Irish band Guidewires. Its a ground breaking project that brings Irish, Scottish, English and Breton musicians together in a fusion of their music in a large scale stage production. The Irish leg of these performances will take place in August so check Guidewires tour dates page for more info and to catch the shows.

Presented, as they put it, as a ‘choreographed set of distinct ensemble works, the concert will explore musical synergies found in original, traditional, re-arranged and shared material, moving from intimate collaborations to the full force of the ensemble.’ The music ranges over Irish jigs and Scottish stratspeys to English hornpipes and Breton gavottes, bringing together the traditions of the players in a large-scale, contemporary production.
