Meet the maker: Heather Butterworth – is the original HARRIS TWEED artisan. After completing her degree in textile design and surface decoration at Gray’s Art College, Aberdeen, in 1990, she wanted to come back home to her family and friends on the Isle of Lewis, and she wanted to work for herself. At craft shows and trade fairs she began using the textile that was local to her: HARRIS TWEED. All materials are sustainably sourced. Orb Designs: Unit 2, Rigs Road, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis
