Ályth McCormack ist eine der führenden schottischen Interpretinnen gälischer Songs, sie ist außerdem noch Schauspielerin und – last but not least – die Sängerin der „Chieftains“, einer der weltweit bekanntesten Irish Folk Bands. Mit den „Chieftains“ tritt sie in großen Hallen vor tausenden von Menschen auf, denn die Band hat Kultstatus. Ályth McCormack zieht es dennoch immer wieder auf kleinere Bühnen, wo man direkt mit dem Publikum kommunizieren und Stimmungen aufnehmen kann. Diese Intimität ist ihr wichtig.

Es sind sehr persönliche Lieder, Lieder die unter die Haut gehen, die berühren und nachdenklich machen - gesungen in gälischer und in englischer Sprache.Im Gepäck hat sie auch ihr neues Album: Aig an taigh (at home)

New Program: Risk Emotions! "Songs to Let the Light In"

Ályth McCormack is one of the leading Scottish interpreters of Gaelic songs, she is also an actress and - last but not least - the singer of the "Chieftains", one of the world's best-known Irish folk bands. With the "Chieftains" she performs in large halls in front of thousands of people, because the band has cult status. Ályth McCormack is always drawn to smaller stages, where you can communicate directly with the audience and absorb the atmosphere. This intimacy is important to her.

"Risk feelings - songs to let the light in" is the name of her new program.

They are very personal songs, songs that get under your skin, that touch you and make you think - sung in Gaelic and in English. She also has her new album with her: Aig an taigh (at home)
