Ályth McCormack ist eine der führenden schottischen Interpretinnen gälischer Songs, sie ist außerdem noch Schauspielerin und – last but not least – die Sängerin der „Chieftains“, einer der weltweit bekanntesten Irish Folk Bands. Mit den „Chieftains“ tritt sie in großen Hallen vor tausenden von Menschen auf, denn die Band hat Kultstatus.
